Vizzy Stadium’s recent domestic-cricket appearances are documented by ACA and BCCI. Earlier opening details remain secondary-source reporting rather than an independently verified construction record.
Read the format-specific evidence before judging the playing surface. A single score does not establish a permanent batting- or bowling-friendly pitch.
Check the dated matches recorded for this venue. Completed results and any confirmed future fixtures are kept separate.
Confirm the exact venue destination before choosing railway, bus, airport or road connections.
Vizzy Stadium’s recent domestic-cricket appearances are documented by ACA and BCCI. Earlier opening details remain secondary-source reporting rather than an independently verified construction record.
A secondary ground reference records Vizzy Stadium as opened in 1995 and gives a reported capacity of 5,000. ACA's accessible venue list does not publish a current capacity or opening note, so both details remain qualified rather than definitive.
ACA lists Vizzy Stadium and Dr PVG Raju Sports Complex at Chintalavalasa as separate Vizianagaram venues. Match results from the newer complex should not be transferred to Vizzy Stadium.
ACA's state-match archive records Andhra against Tamil Nadu at Vizzy Stadium in the 2023–24 Women’s Under-19 One-Day Trophy. Tamil Nadu made 251/1 after Andhra's 247 and won by nine wickets. This is a directly named ACA match record, not a venue-wide record claim.
BCCI and ESPNcricinfo match listings place several Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024–25 games at Vizzy Stadium. The sample includes a 21 December abandonment without a ball, a 377/6–209 result on 31 December, and Tamil Nadu’s 301–228 win on 5 January. The results show active domestic use, not a permanent pitch characterisation.
BCCI's current match centre records Jharkhand Under-19s against Chandigarh Under-19s at Vizzy Stadium. Chandigarh made 334 in 49.3 overs and Jharkhand replied with 318/9 in 50 overs; Chandigarh won by 16 runs.

A secondary historical reference reports capacity of 5,000, but no current ACA seating inventory or match seating map is asserted. Confirm spectator admission, gate details, parking, drinking water and accessibility with the organiser before travelling.
Floodlight specifications, dressing-room facilities, practice nets and measured boundary lengths are not verified here. This ground is separate from Dr P.V.G. Raju ACA Sports Complex at Chintalavalasa.

Vizzy Stadium, Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, India — map listings place it in the Pedatadivada area; confirm the actual entry gate with the organiser
Vizianagaram has no metro system identified in the sources reviewed. Use the town’s rail, bus and road network instead.
The district administration places the Vizianagaram bus stand near the railway station and describes bus connections from Visakhapatnam.
Confirm the current service and arrival stop, then arrange a local auto or taxi to Vizzy Stadium. Older published frequencies are not presented as today’s timetable.
Vizianagaram is a railway junction. The district administration says trains towards Howrah, Bhubaneswar and Raipur halt at Vizianagaram. Map data places Vizianagaram Junction near the stadium area; use the venue pin and a local auto or taxi for the final leg rather than relying on an unverified distance.
The district administration’s travel page lists Visakhapatnam Airport and reports it 60 km from Vizianagaram town, not60 km from the stadium.
This is town-level guidance from an older government page. Check current airport operations, the road route to Vizzy Stadium and traffic before booking onward transport.
Select Vizzy Stadium or Sir Vizzy Cricket Stadium in Vizianagaram, not the PVG Raju complex at Chintalavalasa. Map listings place Vizzy in the Pedatadivada area.
Confirm the exact gate and permitted parking with the organiser. No fixed travel time or authorised parking zone is asserted.
No official public ticket page, price list or general admission policy for Vizzy Stadium was found in the sources checked. For a named match, start with the BCCI match centre and Andhra Cricket Association channels. Do not assume that a fixture is ticketed, free, or served by a particular ticketing app until the organiser confirms it.
Before leaving, verify the fixture date, venue name, entry gate, identification rules, permitted bags, parking and accessibility arrangements. A BCCI listing can confirm the match and ground, but it does not by itself confirm public spectator access.
Weather Atlas’s Vizianagaram climate dataset reports an October average high of 31°C, average low of 24.4°C and monthly rainfall of 245 mm. These are climate averages, not the temperature or rain probability for a particular match.
For a visit, check a recent hourly forecast and the organiser’s match updates. Plan permitted sun and rain protection, but do not treat a historical abandoned fixture as evidence of today’s weather, pitch condition or drainage performance.
No. The Andhra Cricket Association venue list names VIZZY Stadium separately from DR. PVG RAJU SPORTS COMPLEX, CHINTALAVALASA. Match listings should be checked carefully because both venues are associated with Vizianagaram.
It is in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, in the Pedatadivada area according to map listings. The exact gate address was not confirmed by an official ACA page, so verify the map pin and local entry point before travel.
A secondary ground reference reports 5,000, but no current official ACA capacity sheet was found. Treat 5,000 as unconfirmed and do not use it for event planning without organiser confirmation.
Verified examples include the 2023 Women’s Under-19 One-Day Trophy, several Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024–25 matches, and the 12 October 2026 Vinoo Mankad Trophy Elite match between Jharkhand Under-19s and Chandigarh Under-19s.
The available evidence supports only a cautious reading: recent selected 50-over matches include high totals and successful chases. There is not enough reliable exact-ground evidence to label the pitch batting-friendly, bowling-friendly, slow or fast, and no boundary measurements or curator notes were found.
Reach Vizianagaram Junction by train or the town bus stand by bus, then use a local auto or taxi to the stadium area. The district administration says the bus stand is near the railway station and that Vizianagaram is a railway junction; confirm current schedules because its travel page was last updated in 2019.
No official public ticketing route was verified for the venue. Check the BCCI match centre and ACA announcements for the specific fixture, and do not assume online sales or free entry.
No later future Vizzy Stadium fixture was verified in the current BCCI listing checked for this page. Fixture calendars change, so check BCCI and ACA immediately before travel.
